The first hours

What happens after you call

  • Dispatch answers

A person, not a menu. You give an address, the make of the unit if you know it, and what it is doing.

  • You get a time

The arrival window comes by phone, and any after-hours fee comes with it. Then you decide.

  • The technician reads the system

Gauges first, then the parts. Pressures and temperatures are written down.

  • A written price

Before any repair work starts. A second problem is a second price you approve.

  • Run, test, log

The system runs while the technician is still there. The readings go on your invoice.

The refrigeration line

A warm cooler is a clock

Cold food held above 41°F is a food-safety question. The refrigeration line goes to a dispatcher who asks for the temperature and the time first.

While we drive

  • Keep the doors closed

  • Write down the temperature and the time

  • Move what you can to a cooler that works

  • Ask your health department about anything that stayed warm

Quick answers

Before you call

How fast can you get here?

The arrival board shows what dispatch plans for on an ordinary day. In a heat wave the times stretch, and dispatch tells you the real one before the truck rolls.

Does a night call cost more?

Nights and weekends carry an after-hours fee. Dispatch tells you the amount and the arrival time on the phone, and you decide before anyone drives.

Which number do I call?

Homes, condos and small offices call dispatch. Restaurants, stores and anyone with a walk-in or an ice machine call the refrigeration line.

Do you give the price before the repair?

Yes, in writing, before repair work starts. Dispatch also tells you the visit fee when you call.

Does anyone speak Spanish?

Dispatch and two of our technicians do. Ask for a Spanish speaker when you call.

Both numbers answer all night.

Home AC to dispatch. Walk-ins, ice machines and cases to the refrigeration line.
