Pricing
How pricing works
A repair is priced to the part, the system and the hour. This page names what moves the number. Your written price carries the amounts.
What decides the price
These change the number from one call to the next.
The failed part and whether it is on the truck
Refrigerant type and how much is needed
System age
Access: attic, closet, roof or a tight kitchen
The hour of the call
What the written price includes, and what it does not
The price names the part, the labor and any refrigerant. A second problem found on the visit is a second price, shown to you before any work.
Not included unless listed: ducts, electrical panels, repairs to the house
The quote says how long the figures hold
What happens at the visit
The technician reads the system, finds the cause and writes the price. When you call, dispatch tells you the visit fee and whether it comes off the repair.
After hours
Nights and weekends carry an after-hours fee. Dispatch tells you the amount and the arrival time on the phone, before the truck rolls. Arrival depends on the on-call crew and the day.
When you get the number
The visit fee on the phone. The repair price in writing, before repair work starts. If the job changes, you see the changed price and agree to it first.
